SUMMER WEDDINGS ARE FANTASTIC. Note to all: I was not the commissioned photographer for this wedding. However, I couldn’t resist taking a few snapshots.
Ceremony Location: Saint Columbkille (Brighton, MA)
Reception Location: The Mansion on Turner Hill (Ipswich, MA)
Here are a few photos from my buddy Tran’s wedding, the man who toured me around his college campus during my sophomore year of high school. I ended up going to the university and LOVED it. I had an amazing four years, with fantastic friends and memories to talk about for years. I most definitely have him to thank for it. His new wife, Chloe, is gorgeous, sweet and incredibly patient (she must be… to handle Tran)! Har har. Kiddinggggg! They’re so fantastic together!
Instead of a traditional wedding registry at a Crate & Barrel or a Target, they registered at Honeyfund.com, a honeymoon gift registry where their guests, in lieu of a gift, will donate money and “sponsor” a specific event, activity, etc. Their traveled to Hong Kong, Bali, Singapore and Thailand for three weeks. Some of the items on their list include: a tuk tuk ride, thai massages, Volcanic Mud Body Treatment and of course, FOOD ON A STICK! (Brilliant…) I think they should be coming home soon. I can’t wait to hear the stories!
Their wedding ceremony was in Brighton’s Saint Columbkille. As programs, they made them into little fans! Clever… and so useful on a hot Boston Day in July
I have a soft spot for ring bearersKenny Chan!!
A vibrant bride with her dad

I made Jason switch seats with me because he had the aisle seat. It was kinda cool shooting from the audience. It was refreshing!

Jason, the fantastic couple, and me.
The banquet hall in Ipswich, MA (The Mansion on Turner Hill) was beautiful !
It was a cute intimate wedding. Loved it.
After the ceremony, but before the reception, we had a bit of time to wander the grounds.
…and so I snapped away.
Jason poked around an old cabinet and found… BUBBLES! So we spent a good amount of time enjoying the patio and blowing bubbles.
There was also a library slash kids room slash men’s smoking room
Jason picked up an ancient book and read to me. It was a collection of old letters. One that stands out to me was one from Abraham Lincoln to his brother, telling him that he would not lend him 10 dollars but counter offered him a loan plan if the brother got a job. Hilarious book. If I were to ever go back, I’d take note of the title and half.com it.

Like I said before, BEAUTIFUL banquet hall
Look familar? We just posted Heidi and Steve’s wedding teasers a couple of weeks ago! See them here: http://blog.nicoleschan.com/?p=767
I’ll be blogging about their wedding next. It’s going to be a LONG post with TONs of gorgeous photos.
Yay Adrian!
Woo hoo Kenny!
Woot woot Tran’s brother!
They look so happy![]()
During wedding ceremonies, guests can tap their silverware against their glassware to make a “clinking” sound, signaling that the bride and groom need to kiss. At this wedding, that was not the case. In order for the guests to make the bride and groom kiss, they (as a collective table) had to get up and sing a song with the word “love” in it. Table 1 and Table 7 (our table) rocked it. We eventually joined tables, formed table “17″, sang “I knew I loved you” by Savage Garden and then demanded TWO kisses.
I love children. (Yes, even when they’re digging for boogers)
How beautiful is the back of that dress?
A cute collection of details from the day :)
Tran and Chloe, my best wishes to you. *super hug*

One day, Sledder and I went on a pretty long bike ride. ~25 miles. Her paws were pretty swollen and a bit cut up after the ride. We actually didn’t finish the ride. I called Jason and had him pick her up, because I think she was in a ton of pain. With enough googling and asking vets, I figured if we were going to do any more long distance cement or trail running, we’d have to get her shoes. I’m not one to buy dog clothes, accessories or any of that jazz.
They only had the red ones at REI, so we ordered them online. I figured black would be a bit less …”LOOK AT ME!!”
Baller eh? vibram soles. Haaaah!
When she put them on, she hated them. Watching her walk was the funniest thing in the world! She loves them now… because she knows she gets to go out, frolick, and pull. I really don’t do much bike riding. I just sorta sit and balance. I’ll make sure to get some pictures/videos of her and my bike next time.
